We invite two dynamic school principals--Amen Rahh of the University Pathways Public Service Academy and Susana Ansley Gutierrez of the Santee Education Complex--to dive into the principalship. But first, we begin the episode with a review of recent education news about that infamous college admissions scandal and the debate about homework.

Jeffrey sits down with one of our Episode 12 guests, Amen Rahh, to learn more about the new school that he founded, teacher yoga, and being a change agent in education. Amen is the proud founding Principal of the University Pathways Public Service Academy, a new public high school located in Watts. Amen has spent 13 years working in education, serving schools in Watts south LA. He began his career as a teaching assistant and has served in many roles on his way to becoming a principal. He is born and raised in Compton and comes from a family of educators. He is a proud graduate of CSU Dominguez Hills.

Jeffrey sits down with one of our Episode 12 guests, Susana Ansley-Gutierrez, to learn more about her extensive work as an educator and leader in elementary, middle, and high schools. Susana is the proud Principal of Santee Education Complex in south Los Angeles. She has been an administrator at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Susana, over the course of her 17 year career in public education, has served the students and families of multiple communities across Los Angeles working with the Partnership for LA schools to transform high need schools. She began her career as a special education and history teacher.
